School Update

I just finished week 6 of my 11 week seminar in the MSIA program at Norwich University. This was a fun week because we had our first exam in addition to our regular weekly paper. It would have been easier if I weren’t on vacation and without Internet access. I worked on my papers in the evening while we were at Mammoth, but had to wait to do the online research when I got home. I was home for one day between Mammoth and a trip to Disneyland. I wrote my weekly paper while sitting in my room at the Disneyland hotel. Yes, it put a little crimp in my vacation, but I managed to get it all done and keep on track with my course work.

School has been fun and interesting. I’m learning a lot about Information Assurance, which is the whole point. I enjoy the online classes because I get to interact with my classmates more than I would in a classroom, and all of us learn about what we are going through in our jobs. It is very interesting to see what is common, and to ask questions about technologies I don’t get to use in my current job. Overall, it’s a very good learning experience.
