How Valuable are Certifications?

when applying for a job or promotion we are competing with people who do have degrees and certifications, and human resources and hiring managers do pay attention to both. You might not like it, but the reality is without one or both, you are at a disadvantage.

Review of Technology Education & Business Alliance Meeting

CISSP is official

I just received an email from (ISC)2 informing me that I’m an official CISSP. I’m very happy that is done. I do feel a real sense of accomplishment, and I did learn a lot through this process.

I passed the CISSP exam

I got the email today informing me that I passed the CISSP exam. The 10 day wait was a little nerve wracking. The next step to certification is to submit my endorsement for review. I’ll send them my endorsement by Friday, then I’ll have to wait for another 2-3 weeks before I receive my certification. [...]
